My fear cost me about $400,000 I think.

It was 2016.

Like many service providers, I (Julie) was working by butt off building funnels, writing sales copy, running ads for clients.

Knowing the funnels I was charging $5-10k for were pulling in hundreds of thousands of dollars for my clients, I'm embarrassed to admit how long it took me to decide to build my own funnel.

And when I did, I sat on it for about four months... too afraid to run ads.

Once I had the courage and set that first $100/day Facebook Ad into the world, my income went from $20k to $96k within 90 days.

I'm trying to calculate how much money I lost by being afraid for four months. I mean, I guess four months of near six figure a month income right? $400,000. That was the cost of my fear.

Opportunity cost is a weird thing. It's so hard to envision what we're giving up by NOT taking action.

And I know, 2025 is not 2016. The world is a much different place today, and some of you might be wondering if my success with my webinar was an outlier.

If I hadn't spent the last 9 years working on webinars, I might say yes.

But truth be told, when I scour around for all the most successful business owners... the ones with reasonable margin and multi-six figure a month income, nearly all of them have webinars.

Last night we taught about webinars, and showed some clients that are doing webinars RIGHT NOW in 2025 and having great success. Be sure to watch the replay, as it's up for only a limited time.

But back to opportunity cost...

Slightly vulnerable moment here. When I divorced in 2022, that wasn't actually the first time I considered divorce. The first time had been back in 2018, and I called a lawyer who promptly talked me out of it.

Guess why? Fear.

Fear of loss.

Do you know how much those four years cost me?

Had someone come to me and said... sitting in fear for four years is going to cost you approximately $1,600,000... I would've gotten off my butt and done something.

But I didn't know how to accurately assess opportunity cost.

I've learned my lesson, both from the webinar and my divorce.

Opportunity cost is that weird little thing that doesn't look like anything -- a shadowy, foggy, formless future... but a real pain the neck when you look back.

There is a price on not getting your ideas out there, your skills developed, or your voice heard.

We love to help people with this because nearly all of our clients and students are true experts who are just shy (or annoyed) by marketing.

Let us help you build a rock solid webinar presentation and funnel that you can use year round to help grow and scale your business.
